Our emphasis will be based on class interest. There will be some small reading/learning assignments to enhance that discussion. Connection Hour
Parents will meet in the fellowship hall to discuss books, do projects, and learn from each other. We plan on having the younger kids play around us, with the option of having a group of teens watch them if that is preferred. If you want to bring snacks/lunch you can.
The kids will separate into four groups. Responsible teens will be facilitating groups. They will have a schedule and be mentored. The teens will keep a sign-in and headcount for safety. These teens will receive a small compensation for their help.
Each class can have up to 12 kids in it per week. Students do not have to commit to one class for the semester; they can choose a different class each week as long as there is room (first come, first serve). Once they choose a class, students will need to remain in that space for the hour or be with their parents.
To compensate teens and provide supplies, this will be an $8/student class.
The classes for kids are:
1. Arts & Crafts
2. BYO LEGO
3. Outdoor & Board Games
4. Service/Socializing (for 12+).
5. *Littles (5 and younger) If needed
