STORY TIME AND PLAY
This class will focus on play, nursery rhymes, and free play.
Nursery: 2-4 yrs

YOGA/TEA PARTY
Stretch, giggle, and sip “tea” in this whimsical rotating class! Each week we’ll switch between an interactive yoga storytime—where imagination meets movement—and a dress-up tea party storytime, complete with costumes, manners, and make-believe fun. Perfect for little ones who love stories, movement, and magical play.

SCULPTURE I
Explore 3D techniques in different mediums. Animals and pottery forms will be the focus. Correct vocabulary and terminology relevant to 3D work will be taught.
Classrooms 1-2: 6-10 yrs

LEARN TO CROCHET THROUGH PROJECTS
Learn to crochet though projects! The rhythm: learn a stitch, get the mechanics down with a small swatch, complete a row-by-row project, then a project done in a round. We will then move on to the next stitch in that way to build upon on skills as we go. Students will be provided with a zippered crochet bag, worsted weight yarn, a zippered accessories bag, H hook, mini scissors, tapestry needle, crochet markers, fabric tape measurer, teaching instruction and patterns.This class will also be able to accommodate intermediate students at the same time, who will work on the same stitches but can do higher leveled projects and skills if they already have the basics down. If these students already have the above crochet supplies, contact me at registration – they may bring them and we can use their fee toward different sizes of hooks and yarn.

YOUNG AUTHORS
Participants must be capable and willing writers who agree to participate. This class will focus on making writing FUN and learning/practicing techniques to become better writers. We will have assignments each week. Each student should bring a dedicated notebook and pencil/eraser to class each week.

SNACKS & STORIES
Read, snack, stretch, and enjoy a story.
Nursery: 2-6 yrs

COOKING WITH BOOKS
Learn food safety and cutting skills with literary connections.
Kitchen: 5-7 yrs

MUSIC APPRECIATION
We will listen to a variety of music throughout the world, learn about different instruments, and learn tongue twisters and songs.
Sanctuary: 4-8 yrs

CODE BREAKING
For kids who like puzzles and critical thinking! A class based on the Explorer Academy series. The kids will learn about and test their knowledge of ancient codes and ciphers.
Classroom 3: 8-11 yrs

FITNESS/TEA PARTY
Stretch your body, open your mind, and pour yourself a cup of imagination! In this rotating class, students alternate between lively fitness sessions and elegant tea parties. During tea time, we’ll learn etiquette and “meet” characters from favorite books and historical moments—discovering how their stories connect to our own lives.

SCULPTURE II
Working with several types of clay and alternative materials, we will shape basic animal and human shapes and abstract 3D forms. Students will receive their own set of 3D shaping tools to take home after the class. Terminology/vocab and processes related to 3D work of all kinds will be taught. I hope to arrange an opportunity to do an out of class field trip to visit a local sculpture artist’s studio as a bonus.

SENSORY PLAY
Sometimes messy, satisfying and calming sensory play. The littles can explore sensory bins with new materials each week to explore. This will include beans, rice, water play, gloop, play-dough and more
Nursery: 2-6 yrs

COMMUNITY HELPERS
We will invite community helpers to tell us about their work and do related projects. Some visitors may include firefighters, police, librarians, mail workers, water treatment workers, garbage collectors, doctors/nurses, etc. If possible, they will bring their vehicles for us to tour.

FITNESS/COLOR/GAMES
This flexible, student-driven class blends movement, art, and play. Students will have input in choosing games, art projects, and activities each week, creating an engaging environment that adapts to their preferences and promotes creativity, cooperation, and fun.
Classroom 3: 9-12 yrs

Cookies
In this class we will learn to make a variety of cookies. We will also discuss some basic baking skills and chemistry.
Kitchen: 12 yrs

MONEY & INVESTMENTS
Money and investments will encompass basics in money (budgeting, taxes, etc.) as well as some fun activities like dream vacation planning (high/low research), budgeting simulations based on a rolling calendar, budgeting for the real world as their “24 year old self” and what that looks like. Then move on to basics about investments like the stock market (a basic understanding), compound interest, high yield savings, rental properties (using real numbers from our own rental property), (going off of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad theory) etc. The pitfalls of interest but how it can be good too.
